Get it together.

I need to get my life together. I haven’t made money (significant money) on my web site for years, my wife is a dumbass bitch, and I need to lose about 20 pounds.

Where to begin?

I’ve used some books, self-help books, like The Master Key System, and It Works. They’re good, and I’ve benefited from their teaching and from the application of their methods.

I have to write much more. That’s kind of why I got this blog, to get myself into the mood for writing. I am kind of slow with typing and I think I can use a refresher. I don’t really think the way I type, so I have to coordinate my typing skills with my thinking skills.

Does that make sense? Is it a good idea to improve my typing so that I can type as fast as I can think?

I’ve used Dragon Naturally Speaking before. I like it, but it isn’t quite that accurate. Maybe if I train it better it will work better. I like to use it most when I have it transcribe an audio recording. That’s because I don’t like to sit in front of my computer as it transcribes what I say. Id rather just talk into my voice recorder and say what I need to say, and then later just have Dragon Naturally Speaking transcribe it unsupervised.

What was I talking about? Oh yeah, making writing easier.

Anyhow, I need to make writing methods feel natural, and not a hindrance to my outlay of ideas. I have some good ideas all day long, but when I seem to sit down and write them out, I get that writer’s block. That force that makes me apprehensive to write. Maybe it’s not the writer’s block that most people associate with the condition, I don’t have a lack of ideas, it’s just the mechanics, the outlay of the thoughts to a readable medium that slows me down.

Well, that’s just something to (for me to) think about.
